Joshimath, also known as Jyotirmath is a city and a municipal board in Chamoli District in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Located at a height of 6150 feet, it is gateway to several Himalayan mountain climbing expeditions, trekking trails and pilgrim centres like Badrinath.

Explore the Nanda Devi National Park

Nanda Devi National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is home to a range of flora and fauna, including the elusive snow leopard. Visitors can enjoy trekking and hiking through the park, which offers stunning views of the Himalayas.

Visit the Bhavishya Badri Temple

Bhavishya Badri is one of Panch Badri temples, located at an height of 2744 mtrs near Joshimath. Beyond the Tapovan, Bhavishya Badri is situated at 17 kms from Joshimath in Subhain Village. 

Go on a trek

Joshimath is a popular base for treks to some of the most scenic locations in the Himalayas. The Valley of Flowers Trek, Kuari Pass Trek, and Roopkund Trek are some of the popular treks in the region.

Visit the Narsingh Temple
